Before and After

Well I've been working on the jeans as well as some of the tops and tell me what you think is it an improvement
First let me show you the two tops that I've been working on the Zodiac T-shirt as well as the Daisy Tank top both where made in 2008.

Daisy Tank Top Before and After

Well those are the two tops that I've been updating they do look better then the first ones that I had attempted to. I liked how the shading turned out and the winkles which are hand drawn, My goal is to have all clothes be 95% hand drawn through Gimp. I liked how the new version of texture I worked with makes it better looking on the avatar. I'm going to be working on other tops in the same method that seems to work out, while trying to do it a bit different here and there. Well how about next I show you the the Jeans. I've worked on improving the stitches of the jeans.

The Stitches (click to see enlarge image)

Well here are the stitches which I can't spell right at all when I don't have a spell check :-/  The first set of stitches I worked on with the light jean version and you can tell just off the avatar model that the stitches looked static like (sorry the only way I can describe them) The stitches on the right when you enlarge the image looks closer to me to real jean stitches. (I had a pair of jeans next to me each step of the way.) You can't tell on this image but there is a word on the back side that is mainly made up of stitches as well as the sides of the jeans having stitches going from top to bottom.

Wondering.....

Should I, am I ready. These thoughts keep running through my head has I upload templates of clothes into second life. Thinking really don't want to waste L$ for each bad template.

I've worked mainly this last week and half on making improvements on a couple of tops that I where one of the first that I started on to see if I've learned since I've made them. So far it does look like I've improved on the tops. I'm almost done with the stitches and am getting pictures to post to show the improvements.

The big question am I and my clothing line ready for our own store in the grid? Almost, maybe, just need to look over the to do list.

A quiet moment, water fall of ideas.

I love it when having a quiet moment to myself in a chaotic day of running errands before a big event.

Stitches and buttons of jeans.

So I've been working on trying to improve my jeans at them moment trying to learn to do the buttons and stitches better with-out having to take a picture of one of my own jeans to add the affect though photograph. I've always thought when I work on my projects that I'm not going to take out things from the real world, but try to make it in the template form. I've started to get better with the buttons. Yet I'm still having issues with working on the stitches. So I wanted to share with you a pair of jeans that I've work on before that the buttons.

Now here is a pair that I've posted before just a closer look of the stitches and button.

This is the image of those same jeans that I've posted before the shadows and winkles look good (for an amateur) I didn't like the button to much so decided to learn how to do the button better.

So here is the image of another pair or jeans that i've worked I don't know what happened but I've seemed to have lost the way the denim of the jeans where looking before.

I hated the stitches so much on this one that I took it out to add on later and worked on the buttons I think I've improved it, but I'm not sure I might had a bit of highlights for the buttons. then will continue to work on the stitches. I like how the buttons are starting to look like they are starting to pop out getting close to the appearance of how jean buttons look (at least my impression).

So I'm going to try this weekend if I have the time since it is Labor Day weekend and of course a lot of things will be going on. On working on practicing the stitches of the jeans.

New Computer, new gadget.

Well again it has taken me a while to get up from working on keeping myself sane in the real life. while trying to get some projects done. I'm happy to say since I last posted my sweet wonderful supportive husband had built me a new computer that is far more advance then what I had previously with fewer to no computer bugs. As well as buying me a bamboo pen that I can use to free had a few drawings. I've had always hated how light my drawings are when I ran them though my scanner.

I had to run that through a editing program to get to see the actual lines of the flower. With the tablet,
see link to take a peek at it http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/BambooTablets/BambooPen.aspx
It has been a bit easier to have control of drawing in gimp. I'm hoping to have a new picture up as soon as I have the time, but I'm also working on practicing to improve two bits of another project stitches and buttons for jeans. Check back tomorrow 12pdt I'll post the update for jeans then.

Thank you for your patience for this update, I promise I won't take forever on the next posts.
